The first stage of the ambitious Rhodes Central development delivered over 11,500 square meters of retail centre and 750 residential apartments in the heart of Rhodes. The focus of Rhodes Central was to deliver a food and service based community hub to the residents of the suburb.
Restifa & Partners were engaged by Billbergia to manage the design development of the retail portion of the project and then deliver an operational centre to the owners. The role included managing the delivery of the Woolworths supermarket as well as tenancy coordination of the 55 specialty shops, a task which was made difficult due to the impacts of the Coronavirus on construction and retail trade.
Rhodes Central opened its essential trade retailers in August 2021, with the remainder of the centre opening at the end of the Sydney Lockdown in October 2021. Despite its proximity to another well-established  shopping centre Rhodes Central is already trading above expectations and has quickly become a thriving  focal point for dining and essential shopping in the area.
